Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt

Eartha Kitt - Santa Baby (Official Audio) - YouTube

Many have tried, yet few, if any, have come close to Earth Kitt's incredibly sexy little number, Santa Baby. Recorded and released in 1953 Eartha's teasing, soft and inviting voice is just this side of not being too much. Apparently the lyrics were a little too much for certain states in the, and the song was temporarily banned  in the American South. Despite that (or maybe because of that), it was the best-selling Christmas song of 1953.

This song calls for one of those wiggle dresses, some bright red lipstick, cuban seamed silk stockings, and an eggnog liberally altered with brandy or rum. You can just see Eartha twirling a dazed and stunned Santa's beard around her finger as she croons to him lyrics asking for a blue box from Tiffany's and yacht; though "asking" seems to be the wrong term. Eartha knows she's entitled to these accoutrements of luxury, and by any means necessary, she's going to get them.
